Dr. Genevier practiced as an ophthalmologist in France, Africa and Bahrein (where he was the reference ophthalmologist for the 5 th US Navy Fleet based in Bahrein).
He was a Project manager at the A.N.A.E.S in Paris (1 year) and at the World Bank (7 years), in particular in the sectors of public health, pharmaceuticals and telemedicine. In 2000, Dr. Genevier founded Privantis SA and launched the Privantis project development whose global objective was to provide health private practitioners with IT solutions for electronic medical record management and telemedicine services. 2000-11. Phase of partnership with Siemens (via SHS-France).
The partnership ended in May 2011 when SHS-France stopped its French operations and compensated Privantis for the consecutive losses. In 2012, Yves restarted the Privantis project with a new IT team (mainly based in Bangkok) and with the objective of developing its own cloud-based IT solutions. Currently, the Privantis IT platform supports a Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Program in Caribbean islands and, in 2021, it will support an EHR and practice management software for ophthalmologists and optometrists in France.
A highly flexible system utilizing modern technology, customizable to meet user needs. The team provides close support, offering consultation and assistance whenever needed.
The various systems of the program meet the requirements of hospital departments, though there may be some differences depending on the context of each hospital. However, it is believed that these differences can be easily addressed. Importantly, if the system supports the submission of reports to the country’s main systems, such as payment claims and integration with the Doctor Ready system to support the policy of the single ID card, it would be considered a very good system. The standout feature seems to be its support for global standards like HL7, which is still difficult to find in current programs, but it is already being integrated into this system. This shows that the program developers have a broad and forward-thinking vision. Overall, this is an excellent choice for modern hospitals, offering high flexibility. However, a key point to consider is that the development company should not abandon customers after installation. They must provide support and post-installation care, as this is a new system that can be difficult to use at first due to the diverse user base, including varying ages and professional fields. I fully support this and believe it’s a very interesting option.
The company listens to user requirements and develops the system meticulously and comprehensively. They are also ready to make adjustments and modifications upon user requests. The staff are patient, friendly, and provide excellent service.
